Description:
A series of paintings that quote the "earth" part of Nobel physicist Hideki Yukawa's words "May peace be throughout heaven (sky) and earth," which are inscribed on the bronze bell of the "Children of the Atomic Bomb" statue in Hiroshima. As ash, it symbolizes the "death" and "destruction" that Hiroshima has experienced. Even if it has lost its form as a thousand paper cranes, humanity's desire and wish for "life" and "peace" remain. It returns to the earth as a painting.

This work is a counterpart to the "In the sky" series.

説明：広島市の平和公園にある「原爆の子の像」に彫られているノーベル物理学者の湯川秀樹氏の詩「地に空に平和」の「地に」を引用した絵画シリーズ。灰としては、広島が経験してきた「死」や「破壊」を象徴する。千羽鶴として形が無くなっても人類の「生」や「平和」に対する欲求や願いは残っている。それは、絵画としての大地に還っていく。「In the sky」シリーズの対となる作品。
